How can I remove all black from a selected area in Photoshop?

I use Photoshop CS5, and need to remove all the black from a flower in a CMYK image and keep the cyan, magenta and yellow the same. I need to keep the black the same in the rest of the image. Please keep in mind I'm fairly new to Photoshop, so I don't know much about layers or masks, etc. Thanks!
