How can i dye my hair magenta red without bleaching it?

i really want my hair to be magenta red...this will be my very first time on dying my hair..the only way my mom will let me dye it is if i don't bleach it...she thinks it will damage my hair BIG TIME and i really really REALLY want it that color!!! PLEASE HELP ME!! :(
