Huge Pink and Yellow moth/butterfly?

The other day i saw an enormous (larger than my hand) pink/magenta and yellow moth or butterfly? Im confused because it flew like a butterfly, but was fuzzy on the body like a moth. Its wings folded upward when it landed like a butterfly. It was so fat & heavy that it drooped as it flew and had to put forth quite a bit of effort to fly around. It landed on my leg for 5 minutes so I got a pretty good look at it. I couldn't see any antanae, like a butterfly might have, but its wings folded up, but it was fuzzy on the body....Im so confused! What did I see?
